Pure Performance 2.625" Emulsion Rear Shock 6" Lift

8LUG Truck Gear is proud to announce the Prodigy 2.65 Shock Series from Pure Performance! 

This particular shock model is a bolt on rear shock for 03-up Dodge Ram 2500/3500/1500 Megacab/Powerwagons that are using a 4" lift in the rear to compliment a 6" front lift.

The Pure Performance Prodigy 2 5/8 Emulsion Shock is the ultimate emulsion shock ever manufactured. The Prodigy 2 5/8 Emulsion Shock is the first all aluminum fluted body shock on the market! The 2 5/8 fluted body has the exterior cooling surface area of most standard 3” body shocks. The fluting provides the structure required to ensure the aluminum cylinders will be as strong if not stronger than their steel 2.5” counter parts!

The shock shafts are 1” tubular stainless steel with 3/16 wall thickness and have undergone nitride treatment to provide an exterior surface hardness. The stainless steel ensures the shock shafts will never rust and since they are bare we do not have to worry about chrome plating pitting or flaking which will eventually destroy the seals. The tubular shock shafts provide for an internal reservoir! The Pure Performance 2 5/8 internal reservoir emulsion Prodigy shocks carry as much fluid if not more than the leading counterparts 2 ½” remote reservoir shocks for a given length of travel. Having a tubular shaft keeps pressure build up and void space to a minimum providing the most consistent shock feel in the industry.

One Viton and one Buna o-ring seal the shock shaft. That’s right, two seals – not one like most other companies. A high quality DU bearing is used to provide the bearing surface for the massive 1” shaft. The Prodigy 2 5/8 Emulsion shocks have a built in poly bump stop and wiper assembly! The dampening duties are handling by a billet aluminum valve circuit with digressive valving! High quality Amsoil shock therapy fluid puts the finishing touches on the dampening duties. A custom moly piston wear band is used to minimize and or prevent shock body wear!

The Pure Performance Prodigy 2 5/8 Emulsion Shock is the ultimate emulsion shock. It is a shock that won’t rust. It is a fraction of the weight of the competitions 2 ½ steel body counter parts and cools twice as fast for fade free performance! All Pure Performance Prodigy Shocks come with a 6 month Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship!

*The shock valving is a standard 60/40 split similar to most other manufacturers. Valving is also similar in selection!

**All Pure Performance 2 5/8 Emulsion Shocks have bushings with a clevis mounting width of 1 9/16 and a 9/16” bore both top and bottom. 1 ¼” mounting width spherical bearings with a ½” bore can be ordered for an additional charge!
