The 8.0 Inch Desert Race System for the Dodge Ram Heavy Duty 4x4 is flat out Awesome! This system is a full featured long arm system with the industries best and strongest components! The front end features a coil over conversion utilizing Pure Performance Prodigy 10” travel coil over racing shocks with an expanded body long travel coil springs specifically tuned for Ram HD’s!

The lower control arms made from 2" solid alloy steel, upper control arms made of 1 5/8" solid alloy steel. The control arms feature a massive 1” shank, 2 ½” head, ½” wall thickness chromoly, rebuild-able spherical joint at the axle that takes up all the twisting found from high demands off-road while at the frame, they utilize the industry’s largest control arm bushing to provide a nice, smooth, quiet in cab ride quality. The long arms connect to two high clearance bolt in sub-frame cross members made from ¼” thick laser cut steel and are precision welded.

The steering geometry corrections are perfect and provide a precise – bump steer free operation! The double adjustable front track bar made from 1 5/8 inch solid alloy steel will precisely center the front axle and handle the abuse like no other track bar will. The 1” solid billet aluminum sway bar end links not only look great, they feature high quality self lubricating 5/8 chromoly heim joints on each end to stand up to the off-road abuse! The lower sway bar end links are relocated at the axle connection by means of our custom lower coil over mounts so steering linkage interference is not an issue!

The rear end of this system features a conversion from leaf springs over to a multi link long arm trailing arm system with coil over racing shocks. The new Pure Performance rear trailing arms are made from 3/16” thick laser cut steel, fully boxed, seam welded and speed holed to optimize the strength to weight ratio. The trailing arms that locate the rear axle are stronger than your Dodge HD frame! Upper torque arms allow for perfect pinion angle adjustment each and every time. This arm assembly ensures you will never get axle wrap again. The lateral stability of the rear of your Dodge HD is controlled by our double adjustable rear track bar that ensures proper lateral axle placement each and every time! All of our heavy duty brackets are made from ¼ inch thick laser cut steel for a lifetime of use and abuse. The Desert Race system comes with our Pure Performance Prodigy 12" travel 2.625" rear coil over shock assemblies valved specifically for the back end or your Ram. No more axle wrap! Notes:

*Provides approximately 8” of lift up front and 6” of lift in the rear for a nice level stance.

**For the free track bar cross brace package, welding of the cross brace mount is required, but is not required for simple driving of the vehicle and can be performed at a later date by a qualified person. The cross brace packge is required before taking your Ram HD off road.

***Requires removal of the OEM lower control arm mounts off the frame.

****Optional welding of the track bar drop bracket and crush sleeves for the frame.

*****Expect a minor payload capacity reduction with system. However, our rear axle mounts are designed to allow the use of most aftermarket air bag systems to increase payload capacity beyond that of your standard ¾ ton pick up.

******Designed for Double Cab with 6.5' bed. All other models will require locating of the trailing arm mounts on the frame to properly position the rear axle which is really easy.

*******May require minor dimpling of the OEM exhaust to provide clearance for the new long arm mounts.
