The 8.0 inch Pre-Runner System for the 2005-2011 Super Duty F250 4x4 is flat out Awesome! We put the Super back in Super Duty. This system is a full featured performance suspension with the industry’s strongest 4 link set up! Our adjustable lower control arms are made of massive 2.5" O.D. D.O.M. alloy steel tube with a 1/4" wall thickness and our adjustable upper control arms are made from 2" O.D. D.O.M. alloy steel tube with a ¼” wall thickness.
The Pre-Runner System utilizes Pure Performance Prodigy 10" travel 2.625” diameter body coil over shocks valved specifically for your Super Duty with a custom expanded body long travel coil spring. The coil over racing shock package provides exceptional ride quality and unbelievable off-road performance! To ensure proper steering geometry for such a performance based system, we completely discard the OEM track bar geometry and ball joint on the axle.
Pure Performance provides a heavy duty track bar bracket made of 1/4" thick steel with a direct link double adjustable front track bar made from 1 5/8" solid alloy steel which has unrestricted movement! Not only does this improve the firmness of the steering, but it also improves the roll centers of your truck! We are the only company to offer such a great feature. We also provide and a forged drop pitman arm that reduces drag link angles and puts the OEM drag link in perfect sequence with our direct link track bar. The rear end features a high quality custom mini spring pack made by Deaver to improve the durability, ride quality, and off-road performance of your OEM leaf spring pack. The rest of the rear lift is accomplished by a small cast iron lift block with taper to properly correct for the rear drive line angles. Shock Notes:
It is recommended that high quality shocks be used with all Pure Performance Suspension Systems. Bilstein 5100’s are a nice, cost effective choice. For an even better shock, The Pure Performance 2.0 or 2 5/8 Prodigy Aluminum Shocks are perfectly tuned for the application.
What does a mini spring pack do for you?
There are several ways to raise the back of your vehicle. A lift block is the most economic way. A high end, full leaf spring pack such as a Deaver Leaf Spring Pack is nice, but is pricey and may not meet the needs of the average truck owner who wants to be able to haul loads as well as play off-road. There is also a standard add a leaf which goes someplace in the OEM leaf spring pack to aid in re-arching the OEM springs, provide some extra load capacity, but will slowly sag out over time! Thus, the mini-pack was born. A properly designed mini-pack works in conjunction with the OEM leaf spring to return the leaf spring to a perfect leaf spring model of what is known as a “constant stress beam”. A mini spring pack such our the custom Pure Performance Pack manufactured by Deaver Spring, provides some lift simply because you are adding some leafs to the bottom of the pack, and the mini pack also properly aids in helping the OEM leaf spring carry loads! But the big thing that it does, is that it properly aids the OEM pack for its intended purpose in such a manor that improves the overall quality of the spring and performance without the harsh adverse effects of a heavy over load spring. Thus, improving ride quality, improving spring life, and improving off-road performance.
